Home Trends for 2022
It's hard to believe, but 2022 is here! With a new year come new trends in home design. The trends that are emerging this year are a direct result of the added significance our homes have taken on over the past couple years.
How to Decorate with Contrasting Colors

Juxtaposing contrasting but complementary colors into your home can help breathe new life into it. Here are a few simple tips for using this technique.

Use contrasting colors to set a mood, establish a tone, and make a space enticing to the eye. If a certain room is too whitewashed, target the areas where you can add splashes of color.

Contrast trim and cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom. The main color will dictate the atmosphere, while the secondary color should pair well with the remaining décor in the space.

Make the walls and accent pieces the focal points of contrast. In the living room, experiment with muted wall colors and vibrant furniture. In the bedroom, try bright carpeting and pillows against a neutral-colored bedspread.

Spinach and Mushroom Lasagna

Meaty shiitake and crimini mushrooms, spinach, and ricotta and mozzarella cheese. This vegetarian lasagna will satisfy the entire crowd!

I hope these trends act as a north star as you design your home this year. For those with either a remote or hybrid work schedule, your home office is undoubtedly already one of the most important spaces in your home. Think of ways you can refresh the space this year to stay productive and energized while you work. The word "minimalism" may recall images of neutral-colored living rooms and whitewashed hallways, but really, it's a useful tool in helping you pare down the excess in your home so that fewer items have maximum effect. These trends will be at the forefront of home design this year, as homeowners' connections with their homes continue to evolve and deepen.
